3M™ Dyneon™ Fluoroelastomer FX 3734 is targeted for bonded shaft seal applications and has a high elongation and a good compression set resistance. In addition, its process targets include compression, injection and transfer molding.
Dyneon FX 3734 fluoroelastomer can be compounded using standard water cooled internal mixers or two-roll mills with standard fillers and ingredients utilized in typicalfluoroelastomer formulations. The "dry" ingredients should be blended before adding to the masticated gum. For best results, FX 3734 fluoroelastomer should bebanded on the mill several minutes prior to adding the blended dry ingredients. Once mixed, the compounded stocks display excellent processing safety and storage stability.
